This thing was fast. I got a few pics and the camera died. Driving to the coast last weekend I seen a kone corse set up in a parking lot. I went beack to check it out and saw it. It was brand new and first testing ever. I did not get any details but the few pics I got. This thing was small and it was fast. Stuck to the track like glue. Piture a mini indy car. Most of been college students.

Hands down the most trick kart I ever seen. I liked how the rear shocks were set up. Take a good look for this things has all the bells.

What are the gold things on frot and rear suspension?

Yah they were in testing for I seen bubble wrape protecting the paint all over it. Also notice the wires around the drivers head. Looks like the hons device or what ever they call it was strapped on. It really was sweet though. Sounded like banshee but looked like a Jet Ski engine. Thats what I thought anyway. Have no clue what it is. If it's SAE car then they have classes right with engine type right?

I pulled into the parking lot walked up and started taking pics then my camera died. They had a nice cone track set up along with a toy trailer packed with tools and parts. It must be a school for sure. nice huge 10 foot wide tool box as well.

The car (car?) uses cantilevered suspension. The coilovers are mounted remotely, and the gold things are adjustable links. Please note the bellcranks in the rear- the gold links travel up and down with the wheel, the belcranks alter the direction of travel, and transmit the forces to and from the shocks.

Very cool ride!

Yeah Like I said in the other thread it appears to be a formula SAE car. Definitely one fast, and well engineered machine. Most likely not a jet-ski engine, looks to me like a single cylinder dirt-bike/dual-sport engine, probably 450-650cc. Very interesting intake design.

What your thinking of is a Head And Neck Support system, although I do not see one on the car.

One of these cars is on my least of things to get, right after a motorcycle :D

I love the intake set up for it. And the exhaust pipe is either for a four stroke, or something I've not seen 2stroke banshee guys use on their drag bikes yet. Normally a 2 stroke race pipe looks like this cart's intake pipe. What an awesome project!!

When they were riding it I pulled over off the road. So I did not really get to hear it run that well and up close. When I got to the lot they were adjusting stuff. Waited for about 15 minutes then took off.

Then whats that thing tapped to the roll cage behind the driver head?

I think I saw the radiator inside those side vent things.

from teh front it looks like those boxes on the sides are for batteries or just storage boxes or something. Thing above the head looks like a radiator to me.. Why do they need a radiator when they have an air intake system right there?

Not sure but I think I saw a raditor in that side thing. Also no cap to fill the radiator. I also do not think the radiator would be tapped in. But I really do not know. Who knows what they got going on. Wish my camera did not die.

From the back, the box looks like a radiator, but who knows? anyway, I f you ask me, the thing behind his head is just a foam headrest. See the egg carton shape divets and such? The wires you see might just be stray wires form the light/engine or something

Im guessing the thing taped to the cage is a solar panel. they look to be starting the kart with the external battery, so the solar panel prolly runs the light bar on the back. Again im just guessing, but thats what it looks like to me. i do see wires coming out of the bottom of the panel, thats the only reason im thinking solar panel.

Those wires are just sitting there. I think it is a headrest that springs back. Panel would not be right where the driver head would hit it. IDK though. When the pics were taking it was not running. So must have baterry.

the radiator is defintly in the side

this thing must be water cooled as there is no fins on the head or the small amount of cylender u can see
also the poor engine wouldnt last 5 minute in there

if u zoom right in u can see those wires are not connected to the head restcome solar panel they are just coiled and cable tied up, may be old dash wires from the origonall bike harness

iv gotta wonder why they used push rod suspension
why there are no boots over the cv joints
how they used the same spindes front and rear
and why they seam to have caniballised a two stroke exhaust as an air box

it would be intresting to have a look at one of these
i wonder if it was designed by an engineer or a mechanic
