hey guy I've been looking at this go kart for a little over a month and a half it has a tecumseh 6HP power sport engine on it. The Guy told me that it needs its brakes bleeded but it does not have a normal looking brake caliper (I'm a noob i may be wrong). when the guy sent me pics if i'm right it has no air filter or stock air box. (Will try to post pics) I don't know what size adapter to get for aftermarket air filter.

Here's a link to an air filter adaptor that should fit that engine, the ad has bolt pattern measurements so you could make sure it'll fit: http://www.bmikarts.com/Air-Filter-adapter-for-Tecumseh-Briggs-OHV-Engine-_p_463.html

I get the feeling that kart is one of the lower-quality racekart models made in china. There's been quite a few reports of those having problems with frame welds failing, plus problems finding replacement parts, like brake calipers and spindles...

One easy way you could tell If its one of the Chinese models is to ask the seller if it has a steel motor mount that's welded to the frame, or if it has an aluminum motor mount that clamps onto the frame. Most all racekarts made in America or Europe in the last 30 years have aluminum/clamp-on style motormounts (like the pic I posted below), most of the Chinese made racekarts I've ran across have a steel motormount that are welded to the frame.

I would buy it! that's a good price for just the frame. You can always try talking him down some more after you give it a good once over.

There should be a bleeder on the caliper like regular brakes. And yes that is a very good price.

I have gotten lucky before and just broke the brake line loose at the caliper cause I had a stripped bleeder and it worked. It wasn't perfect but it worked.
