Lemme think 'bout this one, gotta let it marinate in the 'ole noggin.

Okay. Realistically, probably a replacement hub and knuckle. But creativity is celebrated 'round here so I'll give out an idea. I've never attempted so take this with a grain of salt. It seems to me the bearing is in the hub and the disk is bolted to it. If so, then that piece is made to be solidly mounted, and not able to rotate. Maybe a nut welded to the other side? Probably not... Too easy for the hub to thread out, and getting the hub threaded wouldn't be the easiest. Currently my best idea would be to take of the rotating assembly (golden hub and disk) then try and weld the non-rotating part back in the hole. Just my $0.02.

Yeah ... gotta be careful here. I can't find a Carter Talon Parts list with diagram. Can't find the spindle mount/knuckle or spindle arm parts only but I did find the entire strut spindle $100. I was thinking of welding the hub back on but it needs to be exactly plumb/true otherwise at high speeds Death Wobble will occur. Better off buying the strut hoping the spindle arm can be screwed off from the hub.

Exactly what I was thinking. Truing that would be very difficult. I saw you were considering buying this kart for $100, and if you do just consider it a $200 purchase with the small possibility of saving that cash. But safety is our #1 and a new part there would guarantee safety. Seems a poor design or it was being abused, the latter more likely.

Words of wisdom. Going the right way is an investment money wise and safety wise. It prob was abused ...ie hitting the curb head on at full speed. Hope this deal comes thru ( it has reverse ) I'll flip/sell the other karts .......
