Hi all, i am having trouble routing my chain for my gokart. The Engine is from a Motorcycle so it has a 5 speed transmission. The drive shaft coming out of the trany is located directly above where the axel is, so the chain needs to be rounted downward to the driven sproket. The problem is that the engine is designed to drive the rear wheels with a sprocket that is in the same horizontal level as the engines sprocket so the chain will hit the trany case.
if that doesnt make sense just keep reading...
Soo what I need to do is extend the drive shaft out past the transmission case so that the chain will clear it. The problem with that is that the drive shaft is 20mm O.D. (D.2) 6 spline shaft and I cant find any couplings for that shaft online or any mension of them even existing! I also need the coupling to adapt to a keyed shaft orelse ill need to get another splined shaft for the extension.
Does anyone know where I can find this in Canada?
