Hello everyone, recently a friend of mine asked me if I could help him find a cart in the range of $500-$700 and below are some that I found that had potential or are ready to go as is. I will post the links below and value everyone opinion no matter how small.

Not sure where you reside but it would have to be near Oklahoma to even consider. Might want to fill out your profile to show location also craigs list link didn't work.

This one. You can't go wrong with a Dingo & this one has a 9hp engine, all the others are only 6hp; a few quick, cheap mods will wake up the engine a bit...

Yes, I know, the yerf dogs have suspension but, in this case, it's not the best suspension...

He is leaning towards the yerf dog while I prefer the dingo myself. 9HP is not something you can easily find on a kart.

I have had plenty of both.... Let him get the yerf, you get the Dingo and show him why he screeeeewed up..... :lolgoku::thumbsup:

Ironically enough I am getting a dingo. Its being restored right now and that is why he is now interested. I don't think you can compare them once its complete though.

A Yerf dog with 5-6hp vs a Dingo with a gx390

Cuz bucfan hasn't slapped him silly, err I mean slapped some sense into him.....
More than likely, it's because it's a 2 seat and has "suspension ".....

The 2 seater bit I get but, "suspension"? (yes, I noted the quote marks) If you can call it "suspension" it's not exactly the best kind

He has never owned a cart before and most likely is going off of the fact it looks in really good condition and has suspension. Also I believe that he is leaning towards a two-seat option so that also might be a factor.

Is there something I should let him know or could say to him that would convey why the yerf is a "better" choice than the dingo?

The yerfs catch a lot of crap, but, if you work one over, you can have a really good ride. The one I just bought has WAY better shocks than the factory ones. It's like night and day different.... With a yerf, if something breaks, you replace it with something better(higher quality components ).....
For what they are, you can't complain too much, ya know? With multiple kids or available drivers/riders, the 2 seat would end up being the best option, unfortunately for the dad who could have a dingo...... :mad2::censored::oops:

I guess I can tell him that multiple people said they would prefer the dingo and warn him about the shocks which I'm sure he wouldn't mind upgrading. He said up to 700. With the Yerf being 400 leaves him plenty of room to upgrade.

Unfortunately, there a more reasond for him to not get the YD: We mentioned the "suspension", Jim covered one aspect but, this particular model has an inherent problem, being the single A arm type suspension.

Because the hub is "fixed" on the A arm, the camber of the wheels varies throughout the suspension travel, causing uneven wear on the tyres...
