Hello and thanks for allowing me to join.

So I dug my brother in-laws go kart out of the garage. Sat there for over 25+ years collecting dust. He didn't want it so it became my kids. Cleaned it up, put new tires on it, went through the motor (original 1981 B&S 3HP). It fired up in under 3 pulls after I tuned it from sitting 25+ years. Amazing motor. Anyways, my 7 year old twin girls are loving it. They run it without the body as it's honestly just extra weight and hassle they don't need.

I am seeking information on this go kart. What kind is it? What's it worth? etc. Just want to know what we have on our hands and I'm not a go kart person at all. Best I can find is that its a pretty rare foxbody model and the only thing I could find was what this guy posted here. http://californiafords.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=003321;p=1#000002

Thanks and any info at all would be so appreciated.

David

I'm not to sure on the make of this bodied kart but I like it and it looks to be very original!
It could be a Carter bros or Ken Bar perhaps. The steering wheel hints at Manco but I really dont know.
Sweet that it still has the original 3hp engine.

Mini Car-F. W. & Assoc. Inc. Tempe AZ. I think that is the company that made it from what I've found so far. 1982 from what I can gather and yes its all original. The pictures below are older. 1979 when they did the pace car. Word has it that they made 2000 after the success of the pace car and sold them for $695.00 each. Just some info I found on another forum but I can't swear by it.

Few more pictures to share. This thing just looks too cool. Also you will notice the right front fender is a bit busted up. My wife when she was 7 from what I'm told crashed it into a ditch and buckled it which caused it to crack. You can see where her grandpa repaired it. Fast forward 30 years and here we are and now her daughters are getting to enjoy the same fun she had. They run it without the body so it should be ok from any serious accidents breaking it.

Last batch of pictures, I promise. Just sharing some of the decals that remain intact.
