Go to your local school. They might have a chair like that with bent legs. I know some stackable school chair look like what you posted.

Good idea BUT you need to figure out a better mounting system; those chairs are only held on the frame using 4 small screws... not nearly enough to handle the forces of a go kart...

I will be using boat seats in the future like this one for like 40 bucks. Just think about how much abuse they get in rough water.

I also used a boat seat on one of my karts. It held up to all of the abuse this summer and is comfy.

reminds me of the Eames chairs but those are getting quite expensive (even though they're ugly ) (DSR / DSC series)

Miller and vitra had them (have them??) but that's not an option I assume...

but indeed some schools had at least very similar chairs
to the original Eames design:



if you want to keep that design, I'd say get a bit of fibreglass and repair it,
otherwise get a different seat (that'd be cheaper and/or more comfortable)

what you have appears to be a vintage FOX flyweight kart that was badly messed up by a PO.

the ORIGINAL seat it came with is called "satelite seat" (yes incl the typo )

I don't think it's one of those. It sort of looks similar in the front, but not identical.

And it IS a Fox flyweight I'm afraid.. yes.. badly messed up especially due to the welded on frontbeam (and the cutting of the original axle)
most likely to raise the base to accomodate the (I'm sorry) UGLY huge rear wheels.

Eh maybe lol. I think I found a seat too. I pulled the tires and painted the rims too. It doesn't look bad at all.

It got sold already. Since it's a budget thing anyway, I sanded down the seat and am going to fiberglass it.
