I am interested to see what people use for seat sliders.
I am building a 2-seater. I am 6'5", and my five year old son is.....not.
Due to my height and interest in riding in the cart with my son, I am considering two separate seats. The passenger seat will be fixed, at a distance that I can stretch my legs some. The driver's seat would be on a slider mechanism so it can be moved forward for my son.
There would definitely be some trade-off on my part where the seats wouldn't be too far back, but enough where I would fit and he can reach the pedals with the seat pulled forward.
Are people buying junkyard sliders from cars, or building something from scratch?
I had a thought about a piece of tube on either side of the seat, and then a slightly larger tube that goes over that the seat is attached to. There would be holes spaced along the chassis tube and a pin could be inserted to lock the seat in place.
I found these sliders. Not sure 5" is going to be too much help.
