This is the seat that came off the heavy old streaker. I am working on. Any good options I should consider? This one weighs about 15 lbs and trying to cut weight. I know there has to be better options for a one seater that won't break the bank and be lighter.

Just strip that one down. Get rid of the steel seat bottom and back. get rid of the Slider track.

All you need is the basic frame and some plywood Covered in foam and vinyl.
I do not even use ply wood on the bottom, just a pad on the bottom.

While it may be heavy, it was built to last.

If you're good with fabrication, you could cut out the solid sheet steel pieces and add expanded steel mesh for instance...

Otherwise, there's all kind of options. Fiberglass racing seats in various sizes or maybe the plastic Azusa seat and its padded cover...

Even more ideas: check this out.
