Search Engines: Relevance.

i dont know if it is just me but when i search for something like " Predator won't start" the search results are so irrelevant it will bring up a thread about welding, or batteries, or fan belts..nothing relevant. It does this on other search engines such as google and yahoo too.

i deleted cookies, cache, and searches , everything and still nothing different.

Anyone else go through this?

Try looking up a "dog clutch transmission"....
Forever getting cutesy dog purses as a search... F-ing annoying...

I know there is a way on how the logic is processed, which is why the annoying irrelevant search results.

The results are irrelevant because predator engines always start. You can't find a result that does not exist.

Worked for me. Also an interesting read. It's about time i start learning about transmissions anyway. Even though i was curious about these cute dog purses you tell me about lol.

I guess you mean when you use the search function on this (our) site.
Try GOOGLE or YAHOO. Works for me.

Yeah, mainly on this one.
i remember the good ol' Google days where i could type like this " predator- 212cc-wont-start" and it would either find exactly what i was looking for or say Search Not Found. No irrelevant results.

I'll figure it out some day.

I usually doing something like this, especially when I know my results are niche.

(with quotes, forces search of words in same order), "Predator 212 engine no start"site:diygokarts.com
