I've been yanking governors for years. This week I started asking myself why. I know we do it for higher RPM. But I wondered what does the governor really do. I found this article. Now I wonder if we could make throttle arm adjustments rather than pulling governors. Share your thoughts.

Thoughts, im hungry and i need to finish 2 reports by 5.

Relevant thoughts: flyweights spinning faster will eventually cause the governor to fail, regardless of length/spring tension. e.g. see why most don't reccomend 'governor bypass'

Another thought, well what about these stinkin plastic camshaft gears, are they still good to go at high rpms because of how slow they rotate compared to the crank?

another thought, my honda gx620 failed because the cam gear broke, its plastic. stinkin noise reduction pfffttttt

Plastic is used to make plastic grocery bags that are commonly used to put broken plastic parts into.
