I have always thought those screw things were cool, I saw this video a year or so ago,

I'm also trying to think about making track for my mini buggy once its done.

i know the rc verson was big a while ago
and didnt one cross america to russia over the sea ice
it had to swim part and crawl part obviously be capable to survive falls though the ice and be able pull its self out

the only issues i see are makeing the screws too heavy and having too much wieght to turn
or too light and having them dent
also i dont thnk it would be fast or reponsive like a dozer

also the screws would ware out quick

i rekon it would be mental in the dunes
or in the snow
i see it failing bad on ice just sliding everywhere
