I found a 2004 Legend Race Kart. Well worth the money. I plan on racing on the local dirt track next spring. It will be a blast. I drove a couple of buddies karts a few weeks ago and was immediately addicted. I hope I can keep up. We are running in the clone class as that looks to be the cheapest way to go for now. I like building engines but don't have the funds for it. The stock appearing class around here looks like a check book race anyway. There will only be about 12 of us in the clone class as the sport isn't real popular around here. It should be fun though.

I bought an old 5.5 Honda engine on a farm sale Saturday. They said that it ran but I could tell immediately that somebody had taken it apart and tried to fix it. I took the valve cover off and the rockers weren't even on the lifters. I put them back on and tried it and it didn't even try to start so I took the side cover off and the cam wasn't in time with the crank. Lined her up, slapped her back together and we're in business. $90 well spent.

I'm going to run the Honda on the kart until I get my clone to get the kart's setup close.

Sounds like a plan to me!!

Just had to share some of my enthusiasm, Sorry. HAHAHA

No, not free, but a bargain price. Under 600. Don't burst my bubble if I got took. The big deal is that it is the specific model that I was looking for. I wasn't sure that I would find it.

Rolling chassis with Digitron Tach, good Burris rubber, and new seat.

Only raced 5 times since bought new.

I thought it was sweet.

I'll post pics after I pick it up.
