I wanted to build a scooter to get around the county on back roads so offroad and onroad but offroad is like gravel/dirt road not to tough of terrain. i was going to use suspension but i decided against it. It will be a typical 2 wheeled scooter. I plan on using a Briggs and Stratton 5hp with some power mods remove the govener. Enough mods to get it to 8-11HP and run it around 7000RPM. For the design i wanted to see if any one had some photos for ideas. Any ideas or advice will be apreciated. For speed im not sure yet. Plenty of tourque though.

Don't kill yourself lol.. Those 5hp Briggs are pretty heavy to put on a scooter, but will be pretty sweet if you manage it. I'm looking forward to seeing it though:D

I knew they were heavy but 7000RPM and 9hp seems substantial considering im 120 and maybe 30 pounds of scooter max.

You will probably want more compression and fuel supply, maybe an upgraded cam and mikuni carb.
Maybe a high compression head or get it skimmed.
You need the power to allow your engine to spin to 7k under a load.

^ sorry, I tried downsizing my pics on my previous comment but doesn't work. But yea, I'd need a helmet for driving that 6.5HP kick scooter. I'll try making a video of the test drive. Hopefully is not me flying into the ditch, lol.

1/8" that's way too thick. For a scooter like yours you want about 0.080 I think but there again I may be getting confused because in the uk we dal with mm

Post some pics of your plans
