Well a levy dident pass today, so all 9-12 graders have no busing. How the heck am I supposed to get to school next year? :censored: My house is about a 10 mile drive away from school so walking or riding a bike is probably not the best option. My brother cant drive my everyday, and my parents leave for work before I get to school so they cant drive me. They need to think about how to do better budget cuts because most days I cant go to school ! 9th grade is really gonna suck

How about you just get up earlier and have yer parents drop you off on their way. Then you can either spend your waiting-time picking up on chicks, making new friends, and/or studying, doing your home work.

You might just find that the school has early-bird classes, or the library is open way before regular classroom hours... If not, just ask your principal/dean/counselor for advice. They'll have some type of study hall available for all the other kids in your same situation. And if not, they'll make some type of special arrangements just for you...

(You could even go hang out with the janitors or something if necessary. Those dudes are usually pretty cool and you'd learn a lot about fixing stuff from them! You might even get extra credit and get to go home earlier than the other freshmans...)

The school bus sucks anyway. When I was your age I was counting the days until I could drive, and avoid all the stupid asshats on the bus.

Technically, you could ride your bike, you just need to be a little more dedicated. My school was in the next town over, but there was a bike path in between that was about 10 miles. Really only took a little over an hour to ride there on a BMX bike.

You could also get one of those bike motor kits that Robert sells on the main page of this site.
As far as anyone needs to know, you don't need any special licensing to ride one. If you see a cop, just hit the kill and pedal along.

You guys went to school?

Get an italian pedal style moped. The are well made and cheap gas. They have pedals so you can get away with a lot.

Besides that, Welcome to the real world...

Doesn't it get really cold and snowy in NE OH? Snowmobile?
Yesterday it was 95 degrees f ...... Besides you need a drivers license to drive a snowmobile down the road.

Bighead, school overturns the real world. In the real world you have freedom of speech, but not a school. Cus too loud and you'll be half way to the assistant principals office by the time you finish your sentience. He cant get a ride to the place that hes legally required to go to. Come to think of it, if the government requires you to attend, shouldnt they be required to give you a ride???

You have a good point. I think its BS that this is happening, but schools do not haft to have busing.

How???????? Get me a link to a news article. Around here, they're required to provide busing for people more than a mile away, although ive seen bus stops that are literally a quarter mile from the school.
