Sandblasting tips

As the title says , and the pictures provide , if anyone here has tips for sandblasting ?

I got this sandblasting gun for 26$ brand new . I havent done any real world tests except hooking it up on 6 bar and trying out some fine powder ...

Maximum grain size is 2mm , i was planning to use up to 1.2mm for the gokart chassis i bought , quartz sand that is .,

Now , does it require any additional stuff ? I heard it needs a de-oiler inline between it and the compressor , and minimum of 6 bar to operate ?

What i do know is , eye protection , and a mask are a must when doing this ..
