I'm new to site. I have what I think is a Rupp. It has side nerf bars and a longer front section that what I have seen in pictures. Has 4 holes in back of seat and holes in the front floor pan. It has a narrow steering hoop. No tag anywhere. I will try to take pictures and post. Any help would be great. I'm also working on later 60's era Gt 40 go kart as well.

I'm a high school shop teacher and we work on all kids of projects. We have a twin engine drift trike now and a diesel minibike are our current builds.

Glad to hear that there are still shop classes in High School. I thought they all disappeared decades ago. Sounds like you have some interesting projects in the works. As others have mentioned, we love pictures.

Ok, I finally got pictures. First few are the chassis in question. The drift trike is one of the many projects the kids are working on. Also attached picture of the gt 40 body. I have the engine kart except for the original engine.

Any info on the Rupp would be helpful.

I teach a welding and Motorsports class at a VA High school Tech school. We mainly build drag cars and hot rods, but I do give the kids smaller projects from time to time such as these.

Have a great day.

Way cool! Yes, you do have a quite valuable early Rupp kart! The wheels alone in their current condition are worth over $100 each. It would have had a Westbend or McCullough 2 stroke engine on it. Cool Gt40 body.

Thank you. Does anyone know if the Nerf bars are original and the longer front frame ? Would this had a seat mounted tank on the back ?
