If you are worried about your windows, but kind of want to cut them off anyways, why dont you cut them off, then create the roll cage so it will come up in the same way as the windows, soo it would be kind of like the windows - just a wireframe of it (think of a 3d wireframe model in CAD)
I think that would look pretty badass, then just make a plexiglass windshield that fits in the tubing.
This way, it doesn't LOOK like your rollcage goes above your window (i agree, looking pretty lame) because your rollcage IS your window. make sense?
