im replacing the oil seals on my 97 polaris 780 which requires me to split the cases. I all ready have done all this and im hung up on do something. The guys on another forum are telling me rtv wont hold up to put on the cases and gas will mess it up. I've herd of people using it for gaskets and stuff so why wouldn't it work? the other stuff is 25 dollars for a little tube

Dammit, third time I've tried to post. Keeps getting shorter every time.

I used 1093 or something like that for my 650 because it was recommended by a friend with almost 30 years experience doing sled engines. If I were you i'do go with whatever has been recommend. In the end $25 is peanuts to spend on a sled considering the cost of gas. Do it right the first time or you'll regret it.
