Rpm ?

Hi,

Does anyone have an easy way of determining the rpm that a 2 stroke is doing ? Victaproject 160cc kart on stand, wheels in free air.

I have an IR tachometer. You attach a bit of reflective tape to the spinning object, point the gun at it, and pull the trigger to get a tach reading. Seems pretty accurate and didn't cost much. Try searhing "IR tachometer" or "Optical tachometer".

Most multimeters have a tachometer built in, not sure on the accuracy tho. Pretty common tool I think?
