Some have observed the magnet remove itself from a stock flywheel on a stock governed engine (<4000 RPM).
Some have turned stock flywheels over 7k RPM repeatedly without failure.
Stock connecting rods generally hold up to around 5500 RPM, but there's no guarantee.

If the rod goes, it generally just puts a nicely sized hole in the block.
If the flywheel goes... it can be very dangerous, possibly deadly.

If you want to be safe, get billet parts. If you like to live dangerously use a stock rod and stock flywheel.

Generally speaking, people seem to do alright with stock parts unless they upgrade the valve springs. Stock valve springs tend to cause valve float at an rpm low enough where the stock components remain intact.
