rototiller fnr?

so i had an idea another way to use a vert shaft engine. could i use a rototiller transmission and stuff to have a fnr box and a live axle for cheap? i don't know if i would ever use this idea but i just wonder if it would work because some rototillers have fnr and are a vertical shaft. what do you think? they looks easy enough to mount tires onto as well.

my snow blower had a go kart style sprocket and engine that lined up so i removed the gear reduction jack shafts and made it into a drift trike
