Rotax 440 Help

I have an old Rotax 440cc (436cc) engine. It say's Bombardier on it, aswell as
bore- 2x67.5mm
stroke- 61mm
Motor number 2708480

All I have is the motor, drive pulley, carb, header, flywheel and starter. Also, the coil pack? I think, and plug wires.

I think it came off a sled, but I can't seem to find what kind or really any good specs online. Maybe some one on here has stronger google fu than I do. Basically I need an engine diagram at the least. I just want to know if I am missing anything, and how to get her running.

Still no luck on trying to figure out what it came out of.

hey your engine is probably out of a tnt 440, i restore old ski doo sleds and i have a few of these engines around. if it has a tillotson carb then its probably out of a 71-75 tnt, everest or olympique. if it has a mikuni carb then it could be out of a 76-78 tnt, everest or olympique. very good engine, has lots of power 50hp i think.

i have a rotax 300cc engine in my buggy right now and that engine is solid. they are easy and cheap to repair and last a long time.

I just got back in from the shop. It's a Tillotson carb for sure. I have good stong spark, and the carb is clean. Now I come to realize the starter is jacked. When I hooked the started up to jumper cables(don't know if thats okay) it moves out and engages the teeth on the flywheel. But it doesn't spin. I took it off and tried, still no spin. Do you happen to know where I could buy one, or how to go about fixing it?

if its not turning then it usually means dirty or toast. try cleaning it if you can get the starter apart, if that doesnt work then try some of these sites for parts: denniskirk.com, antiquesnowmobile.com
im from canada so i dont know all of the u.s parts places. but if you check out the vintage ski doo forums someone will probably send you one. vsca.com is a good forum, its vintage snowmobile club of america. I hope that helps.

did you ever find any kind of wir
ing diagram? i believe i have the same motor and would like to install lights and a battery.
