i have tryed a few cnain steering

i tryed rack & pinion with a peice on chain welded to a bar
i think if a put more effot into this it would be a good system as there is liittle to go wrong

i was doing that system
the biggest problem is that no matter how tight the chain is there is always play of about
5* and i was using 6B chain (push bike), custom cut sprockets and it was all running on bearings

i ditched it for the rack & pinion outta a mitzi colt

last system i havnt tryed
a differant rack and pinion cross cable steer

i dont know how successful this will be but while we are digussing chain steering

u have the two strreing arms joined with a solid arm
them u have a peice of chain running from one side to the other
in the middle u have the chain running under an idler over a drive sprocket under a second idler and off to the other side

this system works by puling one side of the chain and the force is transmitter to both wheels by the solid arm
the idlers are needed otherwise there wont be enough chain on sprocket contact
