Robin subaru ex17 does not start :/

My engine have no gov., the carb is a honda ct70.
The other day I ran my go-kart without problem but on my way back home the go-kart was giving some problems and it turned off 3 times in my way back. The engine was failing, do not know why.
So the next day I decided to disasemble the carb and clean it well.
I cleaned the carb, the jets and everything. I even changed engine oil. I turned on the engine and I let it idle for a while. Then without the clutch attached to the engine I throtle the gas and I throtle it to the max for a second and when I let it go down, the exhaust gave some popping sounds, it turned off and now it would not turn on again. I replaced the spark plug and I check everything to make sure is ok, but I just do not know what is the problem.

I do not think the engine would die that easily...

First- Do NOT free-rev an ungoverned engine with no load on it!

Next- Air, Fuel, Spark, Compression, Timing. What's missing?

Fuel and air are ok, spark is working as well.

What could happend if I free-rev an ungoverned engine with no load on it?

um.... Lets see it COULD blow the fly wheel apart into your face. And the poping is back firing from the engine.

Thanks guys, I will have to get my engine apart to see what happend... maybee I made it self destruct without knowing. LOL

I am thinking on buying a new motor and clutch anyway.

Any sugestion? I am thinking on honda clone.

212cc Predator engine has never let me down in any of my karts, from off road to racing karts I will stand by that engine.

...And most likely won't. Odds are, you'll lose the conn rod first.

You'll have to get further into it to find out what's not right. Start with the basics I described earlier.
