Well that's the real trick isn't it?

You want sound deadening but also very little to no restriction, I guess. I don't think you can really have both.

I think the center wall or baffle of the sausage muffler (right where the middle seam is) can be drilled out or perforated easily. You might try that after you try it intact and see if it enhances your bottom end.



I'm trying to figure out what I need and want as well, so maybe in the end I will have an RLV and a sausage muffler and other things to try, just to experiment. Maybe you should buy one of each? Some of these I wouldn't even call a muffler though--more like a glorified spark arrestor. :rolleyes:

P.S. The RLV also comes with a threaded end, I see. Options, options, options.

Alright I just picked up a sausage muffler and will be trying it out in the next few weeks, I’m anxious to find out. I wish summer wasn’t so busy!!
