Rims for live axle

Hi all, i was wondering what all options I have for rims to fit a 1” live axle. Bought and older manco american cruiser to redo for my daughter and am converting it to live axle. The previous owner had just purchased new tires for the kart before he parked it so i wanted to use them if i could. The tires are 145/70/6. I know these are small but it should be fine for my daughter. Any thoughts on a economical route for rins to mount these tires to to fit the new axle? Thanks

Most economical route will be to order some 6" keyed bore wheels from BMI or Gopowersports. If you can order them at the same time as your axle, bearings, brake parts, etc, you'll save money on shipping in the long run.

If you haven't purchased anything yet, you might look into a live axle conversion kit. There's a bit of sticker shock initially, but they will have basically everything you'll need all in one box, shipped to your door.

Thanks, im actually having a buddy of mine machine my axles and i have everything else ordered. I will give those places a look and see what i come up with. Thanks for the help

With those 145/70s how wide should the rims be, its measuring 5” but im not seeing a 5” wide rim in 6” diameter. Seeing 4 1/2”s but no 5s

4-1/2" wide would be the right fit. The rim is typically a bit narrower than the tire, unless you want the stretched tire look.
