Well that might be worth checking out then; thanks.
My old man use to take me on gem and mineral mining vacations. We spent two days at Crater State diamond park in AK. Searching for diamonds to no avail, but still fun. Many other stops along the years panning for gems.

I have passed on my collection to my daughter and she has taken a moderate intrest in it for the last 4 years. That is a lost hobby these days. Thanks for the idea.

I brought two shopping carts and four wheels from another shopping cart here from West Virginia.
I doubt I'll find any in the neighborhood I live now.

Time for more speed and torque combined...
I had re-geared for torque and wheelie action... But after riding with the Az MiniBike Riderz and getting smoked by 3 different bikes... I decided to bring back the speed and power.

There is one guy in particular I want to beat... he has the fastest bike and I want that top spot.

I am now re-gearing with Tc 6" driven, 12T Js sprocket, and 13" rear tire.
I also cut off every other plastic fan blade on flywheel, indexed my spark plug, and installed Vm22 ( mikuni knock off ) slide carb.

Just waiting on air filter and throttle cable now.

Impressive build! I'm looking to go a similar route with my front suspension- Are those front shocks just springs? Or are they hydraulic struts? I go pretty far off road and will put a lot of wear on them. If they're struts, I would have to find a way to make them replaceable so I don't have to hack up my forks when they wear out.

They are not hydraulic, so probably just springs inside.

You may not have to weld... so could probably get a HD kind of clamp probably-maybe.

But with those shocks you would have to cut forks.

They have been holding up well and do bottom out occasionally on the big stuff... but great compared to stock.

The rubber seals have some very mild/minor cracking beginning but this is probably my negligence in proper cleaning
And maintaince.

Thanks for the reply. I'm only 140lbs so they may have just the right spring rate for me. Although I have a battery and electric start system in front of the engine so I have a bit more weight up front.

I'm new to welding and really want to weld everything in sight, but I think you're right- I may cut a slot in the shocks (so they can constrict a little when clamped) and get some 7/8"ID U-bolts to clamp them down. Thanks for the tip.
