Well I couldn't wait :toetap05:. I decided to lay down two coats of paint. It was mid 40's outside at the time and I did it in the garage. Paint is still lightly tacky. So I grabbed my dehumidifier and a space heater trying to help the curing time . I will let the heater go for a few hours and the dehumidifier go for the night. Hopefully morning will yield decent results, so I can clear coat by the weekend and start reassembly by Sunday night.

I was not able to use the front brake mount. It would be possible if I had a larger rotor but I am not worried about it at this time.

Baja MiniBike getting close to done

Just a few pics with new tank mount and gold chain added. I hope I don't get any fuel delivery issues.
I like that gas cap is now centered and easy to access.
I don't think I should. I will probably start tonight or tomorrow. I still need to clean, prime, and paint - pegs and kickstand.


Weather is crappy and I don't really want to ride it on the damp salted roads.

Will keep updates coming as always.

I fogot to mention, the ride is GREAT! The front end soaks up nearly all the imperfections in the road. The rear end feels better than stock. I am 210 lbs and it is a little stiff but much improved from stock. I think the springs might have some more give as it continues to break-in.

The gearing is 38t axle sprocket, 9t JS sprocket, on the 12-13" tires.
Using 6" 30 series driven. It can still pull the front wheel up on acceleration and is pretty fast to me.
Since I am moving to AZ I shouldn't have a problem pulling the sidecar on the flat terrain out there.

If I were to stAy in the WV hills I would drop down to a 8t Js sprocket.

Overall I am very happy with the improvements.
