So I got my kids a little 5HP L-head yard kart a couple of weeks ago, now I have three karts (carts?) and can't stop thinking about my future "Cross Kart" 
I just want to go fast and rip some jumps... I'm so addicted to how much fun the power to weight ratio is and I want to see how far I can take it.
Thing is, I was partially paralysed and lost the use of my left hand, and my right arm is not the strongest, so I am looking to repower a few of these with something easy to start, preferably electric.
To start with, I have a OHV 5hp tecumseh that is a difficult starter but runs out good once warm. It has no choke, just a primer bulb. I was hoping to rig a choke in the short term to help. Is there a way to start with a drill? Ultimately, I am looking to put a 400+cc air cooled eventually and I was curious if I could Use a 30 series TAV, or if I need to go bigger? I have a lot of 30 series parts and I was hoping to keep the parts interchangeable.
What do you guys think about the Honda style 420cc single cylinder clones vs a B&S Vanguard 14 hp twin for ripping reliably? I have both available, the twin is huge and set up with a start and charge system, the single seems like better power/weight ratio, and simpler. Frankly, I'm scared of having to setup a starter. I know its not super hard, but I dont like controls.
