seeing as there seems to be alot of interest in my carts, i thought i would do a little more poking around, to see what's around, and guess what, i'm finding more to choose from.
tin lizzies
more fords
vettes, old, and new body styles
prowlers
jeeps
trucks

but remember, if you want a quality body cart, they aren't cheap.

it just takes some searching around. i'm saving what i'm finding, so, if anyone is seriously interested, let me know, and i'll see if i can help.

i would even like to start up a club, just for these collectible karts, just for fun, to see what everyone gets. no competition, just for the joy of seeing the different ones.

crazy, are you just finding stuff all over or do you have a nice supply in the area where you live... my problem is, other than Jacksonville 2 hours away, my local CLs don't have much that interests me like the bodies karts do... however, i did find on a message board for drag racing this guy bought a 56 f100 ford body for a kart at the Moultrie Swap meet two years ago, it was a unfnished body, but for $175, I can do the rest...lol, which is only about 45 minutes from me, so I might have to go check that out next month... the guy didn't remember the man's name selling them, but he said he thought the person was local to the Moultrie area, which again is good for me if it is true.

I'm interested in finding something I can make my own... like to tweak things and paint, and decal stuff with my plotter...

they are all over the u s. is there any particular one that you're looking? remember that i had mine shipped in, so figure that into your pricing, and what you're willing to invest. i don't have alot of time to work on them, so, i have been getting them, pretty much complete, and just fixing the little problems.

No, nothing in particular... I haven't active looked in a while... I saw the NASCAR and thought it would be cool to have since I had one as a kid, but lately I've been working on my full size road racing car, but I wouldn't mind finding one with a older truck body, or maybe like a muscle car, camaro, mustang, etc... I'm more of a go and buy in person kind of guy, and usually no one is willing to ship those things anyway...

If I hadn't just bought the stock car I would consider that if I could get shipping for it... stuff like that doesn't come around on CL down here often, or when it does I'm knee deep into something else...

you ain't gonna belive this s...t, i'm too big for my ford. there's more room in the chevy. i can actually drive it. i'm sooooo dissappointed.

looks like i'm a chevy guy again, at least i can drive it.

i looked around georgia, today, during lunch, and found these;

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/spo/3492384759.html
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/mcy/3484750037.html

http://albanyga.craigslist.org/for/3529436215.html
http://treasure.craigslist.org/for/3419593175.html

i think the last one may be in florida, and there is one in south carolina, there were some bodies scattered around, too, but i didn't keep those.

Atlanta is a good 4 hours north of me, and Greenville is another 2-3 after that....

I guess too I'm looking for more of a 50s and up, but it has to be the right one....

My local CL would be Valdosta, GA, the next two are Florida, the two closes big citys to me are Tallahassee and Jacksonville... 1 hour and 2 hours travel, Jacksonville and back is a tank of gas, so that's an additional 80 bucks at least... and depending on what I find, I would almost rather buy a unfinished body and build a chassis for it... and probably have about the same money..

There was a guy with two chassis and a 95 z28 body about a hour from me, and I finally got him to email me after two weeks of trying, because email is all he listed, but he was going to get me pictures but has not come through... so I guess I will write that one off... he was only asking $150 though, work looking at.

I'm interested in 50s and up truck, or late 60 and up street cars... something muscle maybe..

i had a couple of mine shipped for less than 200.

the ford was only 203, with $2000 worth of insurance, and it went from iowa to n.c.

you just have to take the time to search, and, sometimes it takes a little time. trucks are hard to find, that's what i originally started with, and gave that one up, because, all i could find were the newer ones, and, mostly chevys, and they didn't look good to me. i tend to like a realistic look, and the chevy trucks just didn't do it

How big are you? I've seen you post some of the body karts and were complaining you couldn't fit. I always thought the grave digger and other off road truck ones were pretty cool but I'm 6'1 so I even have trouble sometimes fitting in my yerf dog.

i'm 6' at 200 pounds, and what's so bad, is that the ford i have is actually bigger on the outside, than the 57 chevy, but just the opposite on the inside.

i also had 3 of the manco offroad carts, supposed to be 2 seaters, and, technically i could get me and my 3 year old grandson in it, but, the average adult will, about fill one up. we did get me and my 16 year old son in it one time, but we hung out both sides. he's the same height, and about 150 pounds, so you know it was full, and slow.

yeah I'm 6'1 at 160lbs so alot of times its uncomfortable in smaller karts, something I'm sure you have to deal with :b but it's more dependent on the body then?
