Okay so HF wheels are not the best. But with some modifications to the rims they seem to work. Only issue now is the tires on them are super cheap and wear out fast.

Anyone know if this tire from walmart will fit on the 4" two piece rims from HF?

HI-RUN 11x4.00-4 2 PLY Grass Master SU05
walmart P# 39087756

says 4" wide. HF tires are 3.5" will it fit? 1/2" Spacer on the rims? just need something to get buy with until next year.

or this one looks like it's the correct size
walmart P# 40822133

or this one
walmart P# 42746799

Or has anyone replaced the tires before and had success?

guess i will search the online kart stores as well. Was just thinking wallymart is just down the street and they sometimes carry tractor tires. otherwise order and wait.

Those are air filled and HF rims are split rim with tubes. So can i just use the tubes i have and those tires? Will they hold up to 27mph and ~300lbs!

I dunno bout 27mph. but they have tubes and are 1 piece rim. A small step up from HF.
Not really recommended at all for Kart use AT ALL.
Your links are not working. to Wally world.

Also your alignment toe and Camber are off Causing uneven tire wear.

Well there is one good thing to HF Tires. in 10 minutes of riding you can see uneven tire wear.
and identify alignment issues!

I want to see a HF wheel sans the tire.

I envision something cheap and fragile.

I have pics before and after. When i modified them to last more than an hour. The rims are press fit together at the hub. Any real pressure would most likley snap them apart. I cleaned mine up and welded the parts together. Replaced the bearings to high speed bearings. But the tires suck. Maybe on dirt they would work for a day?

I think i will add a spare tires mount in my kart for now. Yea tires! Since i have 4.

Yeah...$20....one of which is toast...NONE of which are 1/2 the quality of a real tire.

Soo...$15 ....( that's what??? A fast food meal for 2?)

Do what you want...( FR does)...you can smack a rattlesnake on the head....( it's faster than you can react...but you can be faster than it can react)... But...it only takes one little bit of wrong place...wrong time...where the train meets...and it's suddenly a really bad idea.

Like racing a train to the crossing....it's a tie!!! YOU LOSE!!!!

We like to promote safety here....and while we all want to save money...we don't condone being an idiot to do it!!!!

The Original Build is Called "Junk Build". So he gets a pass.
This is a great Example of how bad the HF Tires are!

if you don't make a bunch of right turns like i did you would be okay. Just drive slow and straight! like in emergency situation they would be exceptable to use. Keep it under 10mph. maybe only on dirt? or Snow. Yes great Snow tires!! :) so when you wreck you have ice to put on the injuries.

NO!!!! TIME TO PUT AN END TO THIS NONSENSE!!!!

Yes..first off...( just so the waters don't get muddied. ) your front end alignment was FUBAR.

Second...HF tires are trash and potentially dangerous....

STOP ALREADY!!!!:surrender:

The HF tires aren't even made out of rubber. They're a glossy, oily VINYL or some other cheap crap.
