They're definitely worth it, you should see a minimum 10% power increase but, be aware, once you increase the airflow, you may need to rejet the carb to compensate...

So as I await my new predator engine (hurry up FEDEX), I dropped the old engine out this afternoon and now I have a couple of more question.
I removed the throttle cable with no problems and the engine came out easily enough until I found another cable running from the brake linkage to the engine, from there it linked to the carb. I assume it is to slow the engine down when the brake is applied, just want to make sure I am correct. Should that be the purpose is it necessary to re-install on the predator or does the predator even have the hook up for it.
Then comes the brake question itself they haven't worked since I had the cart I can apply the brake but it doesn't seem to close all the way on the disk I guess the pad is wore out. Does anybody know where I can get the pad, again it is a BTK cart.

Yeah my new predator showed up today now I am just waiting on the brake caliper to get it here is shipped out today.
Should I start a new thread to ask my above mentioned questions about the extra cable on the old engine, just looking for some answers on it.

You are correct, the cable from the brake to the engine is to pull the throttle closed when braking, it's a safety feature built in to some karts; you don't need it but, if it's easy to connect to the new engine, you may as well do so...
AFAIK, those calipers are adjustable but, more than likely, you are again correct, the pads may be work out... As for whee to find replacements, sorry, I can't help there...

Thanks for the reply I cruised on Ebay and found the complete caliper the old one appears to have a groove worn in the housing, I believe from the disc rubbing it plus the old calipe seemed somewhat froze up. I will try to re-hook the cable up to the new predator if it has the hook up for it, my main concern was weather or not I had to have it to run the cart.
Got my new predator installed today she fired up on the second pull let it idle on the jack stands for a half tank just to warm it up. Sounds good so far I will hook up the throttle cable over the next couple of days and let the kids ride it around this weekend. Thanks for the help everybody.
