Lardo is an italian bacon.. very delicious (and unfortunately expensive)
and it doesn't even have noticeable meat in it.
basically Lard in a different aggregation state ;)

alright so sorry I haven't replied… The reason was that I found what I was looking for (thank you) and was installing it and then threading my tires and about sliced my finger off (don't tell me I don't know how to use a knife because I know how to handle a knife more than most it was simply a foolish mistake) I going to ask another question but its more for a new thread………...

Well I've done worse. I stuck my left hand index finger in an industrial table saw. My boss was standing behind me and asked "What did you do? " I said I stuck my finger in the blade. He asked "Is it bad? " I said yes. I was pinching it together with my thumb and another finger and a group was forming. ...My boss said let me see...I showed him for a split second and several onlookers got a glimpse when I did. I said: "I need some band-aids...." One guy says dude....you're going to need a lot more than band-aids! But someone else went to get them.

Don't get me wrong- this was bad- an eighth of an inch wide half inch deep chunk of skin, flesh, fingernail and bone was gone. I put one band-aid over the end to catch the blood a second 90° to it to seal the end and catch blood and a third wrapped around the finger to keep the ends in place....

Then I went back to work. Another guy said- that's going to really hurt in the morning. I said: I've got a news flash for you Chief- it hurts NOW!

There's not really a whole lot more they can do for something like that at an emergency clinic- other than stitches and I just kept the halves together with the band-aids until it healed- about three weeks. It's never going to be the same and neither is playing lead guitar as it will always be a little tender.

Isn't it funny how dads usually keep calm & deal with situations like this while mum's carrying on like a crazed lunatic :lolgoku:

Reminds me of an incident years ago: My son was just starting to stand up on furniture & the like. One day, we had just woken up & my son decided to stand up using the bathroom door for balance. The person in the bathroom didn't realise, opened the door & my son fell flat on his face on the hard tile floor; he srceamed which startd his mother screaming like a mad woman.

I calmly took him & told her to get the sugar & a spoon. I put about 1/4 of a teaspoon of sugar in his mouth (which was easy 'coz he was still screaming); the screaming & the bleeding both stopped instantly. My wife checked him then looked at me as if to say "how the :censored: did you do that?

The superglue trick works. Not much different from the real medical stuff. It just a little cleaner.

It only a real problem trying to do it yourself, and not pass out or drop the now slipery blood covered little tube/bottle.
