Well, the fenders worked. We took it out yesterday and I had a little rubbing on the front right, but I can trim that down.

We ended up with a loose chain due to the previous owner aligning the chain by loosening the jackshaft rather than lining it up by moving the lower sprocket. The chain caught and broke, we fixed it but I think it must have damaged the key in the upper sproket because it eventually started spinning on the shaft.

I'll need a new key (or sprocket if the key is built into it) and maybe a new shaft if they've been running it loose for a while. I might as well throw on new bearings when it's apart.

I'll check the chain out too. It looks too wide, like they put on a bigger chain at some point. Luckily most of the parts are generic enough that I've been able to locate them. I'll take it apart and see what needs work before ordering parts.

you should do what i did and weld a lawn tractor front end to the front of your go kart the only bad thing about that is the steering will be reversed because of the spindle, it is a quick easy way to fix you problem :auto:

American Sportworks still has the Driver side arm, but the passenger side is no longer made. And that's the worst one on mine. I just bought a welder though, so I plan on getting crazy on them! I already beefed up the rear end after cracking it last weekend.

Hey guys, I dont mean to hi jack this post but I wanted to let you guys know. I have the same go kart the manco 710E mines a 2004 and I too have a bent front A arm. When I bought the kart it was like that. I got the part number and searched every where and like you guys were saying the a arms are discontinued BUT I found a company that had bought some up before they quit making them and just happen to still have 2 in stock for the drivers side. I purchased one today so theres only one left. Not sure if they have the passanger side available but thought Id let you know. Cost me approx $48 shipped.. The company name is Jacks small engines... Hopefully now that Ive shared this info I wont bend it myself and need another replacement. LOL Hopefully Ill have mine running soon... Bought it with a no start issue. No spark... Im sure you guys have never herd this before but it turned out the flywheel magnets are bad on this one... $190 dollars later I should have it running...
