this is seeming like a compression issue, you may have a crack in the block somewher, when the engine heats it loses. check your headgasket for blows. let us know something

it runs fine now. drained the gas, that seemed to be it lol.
also did full tune up, routine maitenence.

Im just curious vandancouver. You said at the beginning of the post that you drained and refilled the tank, but later on said you never changed the gas. What did you do differently the second time you drained the tank? I used to have this problem as well. I could ride for about half an hour, hour and then it would die and i COULD NOT start it. It seemed like it would happen when i rode and then let it idle. when i hit the gas after that it just cut out. I stopped riding it for 6 months, drained the tank, refilled and i havent had the problem since. Glad to hear youve gotten it running, its no fun having a dead kart. Its like having a ferrari with no motor.
