I have a tecumseh HM80 that came of a snow blower on my go kart. I'm currently working on putting a torque converter on this engine. The engine still has 2nd out put shaft that was used to turn the tires on the old snow blower. In order to mount the tc I would need to either grind/cut off the second output shaft or remove all of its internals...

What do you guys think the best solution would be?

I know its not a gear reduction unit, the pto shaft spins at 3600 rpm, if it only spun at 600 (reduction speed) my kart would only go 4mph. :wink2:

You can see the 2nd output shaft between the clutch and the jackshaft

I am guessing that comes off the camshaft? If so if you did not like the idea of cutting it you could order a new side cover and cam.

my tecumseh had a clutch brake box just with a hole drilled for it to fit through, dont worry about it, hook it up straight and leave it alone
