Yep....unbolt the two halves....install the new....rebolt.....done......

Easier than returning an overdue library book.....

If this doesn't answer the question....be more specific with the problem and provide pics.....because....this should be easy as melting ice cream in summer.....

Sorry. My main consern is how the two halfs will seal at the seem once I put everything back together. I'll be honest, I havent taken the two halfs apart yet so I dont know if there is some rubber membrane there or not. I just cant see how it can hold air unles there is a gasket.

Probably has inner tubes. and mine were not easy. I pulled all the bolts and the tire beads were stuck on the rim. I took it to the tire shop and he fought with it and won, but said do not bring this to me again. Maybe it is supposed to be easy, but this junk was on the kart when I got it?

Yeah that was my problem the rim does not just have a bead, the bead goes all the way to the center at the split. I wonder in my case if a bead breaker would even have worked

In less there like the old margay rims then they should be perfectly fine the old margay rims have a stupid seal that is smashed in between the two pieces of rims.

I just got home and looked at the rims I have. There is a rubber o-ring sealing the two halves. Although these are two piece, Its going to take a lot of force to get them apart. They might be sealed at the mating surfaces as well.

i had a lot of trouble putting the o ring back in when i took my two pieces apart .They never stayed inflated after that .

I think I may just go tubed. This just doesn't look like a good design that would hold air for an extended period of time. Anyone have a good source for kart tire tubes?

Sorry for beating this thread to death but what tubes would I use for tire sizes: 11 x 6-5 and 10 x 4.5-5 The tube sizes are kind of confusing.
