hello I've been looking at removing my brake rotor I just found out its bent and I want to get a new one but I've been having trouble removing it. It seems like I have to slide the axle out and then I'm able to remove the brake rotor but I'm not 1000% sure if I could get the axle to slide out nor do I know any good tricks to do so. I would really appreciate if anyone has some tips and tricks for me

That brake rotor hub is a split clamp style. Remove the 3 bolts from the rotor or at least loosen them then loosen the large allen head pinch bolt thats holding the tension on the clamping. Might drive a small flat chisel in that split to open it up a bit. And yes make the shaft as burr and rust free as possible. Good luck.

got a update for you guys so with a lot of swearing and elbow grease I got it off lol. I had use a press to get the bearing off the axle plus a air hammer to just knock the bearing loose enough I will clean the whole axle but so far I'm happy with the progress I've made so far I'll try to find a replacement rotor since this one is junk I;ll keep you guys updated but thank you for the advice it helped a lot :DIMG_7780.jpeg
