Hello all, new here and been reading and looking around at other people's projects. I just joined and and wanted to see if anyone can help.
I recently bought some rc cars for my two boys (3.5y and 2y) one of the car is a 1/8 scale buggy, Axial yeti xl. My boys sat on it and it had enough power to move them and at a decent speed.
So my thought was how would I be able to get a small kart to be radio controlled?
Rough estimate is the kart will be about 2.5-3feet long. Current motor in the rc is a 1/8 scale hobbywing xerun 2200kv brushless motor with a 150a Esc.
Are there any other options out there I can use that would work with my rc remote/receiver?
Would it be OK to just upgrade to a bigger motor from the rc world?
My servo is a 500oz-in servo for steering. Would that be enough?
Again I'm not looking to go fast at all. And the kart isn't going to be that big. Just basic frame and harbor freight 10in wheels.
Thanks for any input.
