Relocating Ignition switch control box

I have a 420cc Predator engine for my go kart. I want to relocate the Ignition switch box closer to the steering wheel and use it as the kill switch. I know I have to cut the wires to get it there. My question is: What's the size of the wire gauge for the switch box to match up and make it longer? I am also going to disconnect the oil sensor. Can't seem to find the wiring diagram for it.

14 gauge or lower should work fine you can also use a solder sleeve to electrically connect the wire and insulate it. for the oil sensor there is a yellow wire coming out of the engine and it goes to a silver box that has a black wire coming out of it disconnect the black wire and voila! your oil sensor has been disabled!

Interested to see how you do this. I have a 420 as well and plan on do the same thing. I want a key start in the seat/steering wheel area. So far I have installed a kill switch and hooked up the wire to the black connector that the oil sensor was plugged into.

unfortunately as with many chinese stuff, wire colours are not always reliable,
so do a continuity check with your multimeter to verify..
