Reed or piston port?

which is better- a reed valve 2 stroke or piston port ?

i prefer reed valve becuse the ports on the piston can be bigger if its piston ported you canot have the rear boost port

Reed is better for many reasons, chief of which is that the piston port createst a vacuum in the secondary chamber (crankcase) which saps power and limits max rpm.

The reed engine is the best all around motor. Piston ports are badass uncivil engines in comparison.

No reeds, so there is one less part to fail(obviously there are 2 lees parts to fail in a twin).
