It Lives! Just bolted the motor up and fired it up for the first time. Now I've got to figure out how to run a throttle cable to the new motor, the rest should be "easy"

At what end? Engine or pedal?

Below is a pic with simple instructions on how to connect a cable to the throttle assembly. Does that help?

Yeah, it helps. I was looking for the engine end. Pedal is pretty strait forward.

I hooked it up as shown, but when I pull the cable I'm not getting throttle movement.

Should there be a spring that assists with pull and return?

Durr, never mind, I just loosened the nut on the throttle lever and it works as it should. That sucker was tight from the factory!

Next question, I have some slack in the chain. The distance between the clutch and the drive sprocket. With the way chains are made, I end up taking out two links which makes it too tight. Is there some kind of spacer (other than a stack of washers) to raise the engine up off the mount to take up this space?

It's called a half link.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Ordered a half link and some new springs for the brake and gas pedal. Once these parts get in, should be able to get it off the saw horses and on the ground for the boys to give it a try.

I need some help with the brake and throttle cable set up.

I didn't take detailed enough photos of it before I took it apart and can't remember how to set it up.

Specifically, I need to see how the brake and throttle pedal bolt on and how the throttle cable and brake are attached to those pedals (what bolts are used, what position they go on)

Also would be helpful to know how to attach the springs on the set up too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is all that needs to be done to drive it! I don't care if there is snow on the ground, the driveway is clear!
