So i bought this old go cart and it doesn't have any suspension. My neighbor called the cops on me so i cant drive it on the street anymore so i want to put a suspension on it so i can drive it on out through my feilds. So I have pretty much figured out how I'm going to do the front suspension-with just a single A-arm and a shock- but my real problem is how am I going to do the rear? How am i supposed to get a suspension back there without the chain falling off?

Yes. Its stupid. Even the cops didnt really seem to care but they had to tell us to stop.

MY aunt has a bunch of trails behind her house and I want to get my Kart nice and raised up so I can take it back there.

to answer your question, a simple swing arm setup would probably be the easiest for you to do. this picture of another members kart should give you the idea...

basically just make the engine and the axle on a pivot from the rest of the frame...

One question I have on the front suspension is how am I going to make the tie rods oscillate so that they move with the suspension?

Its a single seater. Im going to mount some bars in some type of a square frame to put under the front of the body. So your saying make the whole suspension pivot?

Ok another problem I have run into is where to get single A-Arms. I cant seem to find any. And what is a good engine for off roading? I dont really want to go fast. I just want to be able to make it up muddy trails and up some hills.

I Found a 5.5 Briggs for a $100. Would that be good? and will it use a centrifical clutch or a torque converter?
