This is the rear set up I installed on the rear of one of my buggies. Most of the parts can be made at home but there are several parts that need to the lathed. I used the short side of a GM Cavalier because of the attaching of the outer bearing, It is attached with 3 bolts.

The drawing:

There are the parts for the outer bearing carrier. I made mine out of 1/8 sheet but I would suggest going to 3/16.

Cavalier axle with the weld on hub. the female flange has to be lathed off and the hub to be welded in.

What I'm showing here is for a 1" center axle, this is for a smaller engine probable up to 30hp motorcycle and 50 for a sled type,

Because of the trouble finding rims and the stock ones are no good, I lathed off the old flanges and welded on new ones with a 4 x 4 pattern.

Just an idea. You can post all photos in one big post. I don't care either way but it may just flow nicer. I like the work though, it's going to be great when you get it moving. What's the powerplant going to be?

My design Bill. I don't have a shop now so I work on in now and then at my Brothers place 250 miles away, so it's slow in getting finished.

Yeah, ... primmer is your friend when it's going to be a looooong build.

Your rust, ... YIKES!

It is a nice looking ride and I like the lines of it. You have a VERY nice design.

What program did you use for the drawings?

Regards
Bill
