Rear Axle

I am building a fun kart out of an old manco frame. I have a honda GX200 and am converting it to a live rear axle. What size should I use and what style ends? I am thinking 1" but not sure what style end to use. Thanks!

1" is the most common as it can handle alot of weight. Anything smaller and it would be more suited to a smaller kart

If you buy a 1" axle, see if your local store can order the flex proof version of it and not just the standard. Its not that much extra and it will pay off in the end.
