I am looking for a live rear axle setup for my go kart. The frame I bought came with an f-ed up rear end so I "get to" redo it all! It may seem like I don't want to, but I really don't mind doing that.

I have a wanted ad on craigslist for a go kart axle and got an email today about this one. He said that the tires aren't in the deal. I emailed back asking for a few more pictures and some measurements. I am wanting an on road kart. How easily would this work? I know pictures help, but aren't as good as really seeing them in real life. I will keep you updated on the emails.

I know this is considered a "Differential Axle" and there isn't a need for brake and sprocket hubs. Correct? It would be cool to move the sprocket to the other side and get a brake disk for the other.

You will need to put brakes on both sides to stop both wheels or you will just end up dragging the 1 wheel with the brake. Something to think about.
