Started piddling with stage 2 bike as I'm planning on putting it on the cc100x and am still somewhat disappointed. It currently had 140 jet and needle 1 notch below center. it scoots nice but seems to fall on its face almost like governor kicks in. Do I need more fuel? This is just a stage 2 with ported head. wot maybe 50 yards and shut down.

Ok didn't know about the fuel pump. If the needle is halfway or lower try raising it.
140 should be enough jet. Was the timing set straight up with a billet flywheel?
Just saying a backwards timing key can cause it to fall flat.

billet flywheel. I'll try the needle one notch lower in the morning. Just seems like alot of jet to still be lean.

Adjusting needle or float or changing jet might all end up being unnecessary if a simple pulse fuel pump (w/fuel filters) is added. With adequate fuel delivery from a pump, everything else might be perfect already. Avoid double work.

Just ordered a tach should be here tomorrow. I just don't think something is right. I also run a tav 2 10 tooth to 50. with stock wanda tires. I'm curious if it is too much tire and gear......

I think you found the problem! 19in tires, right?
So if your motor had unlimited power, and hit 7,000 rpm, you would be going over 80mph.

A gearing change is required, even if the motor still needs some tweaking.
I would look into a 60t or bigger rear, and 9 tooth up front. That would
get it under 60mph. Maybe even go 8t, 53mph top.

I was thinking this yesterday as I could smell my belt after making a couple runs. It still wanted to lift tire probably about 20mph. I'll buy a split sprocket for cc100x and use it. Then on to big block for ct200.
