no wonder your belt isn't tight enough, thats a big lever, try relocating that bolt a bit closer to the pulley. also your engine pulley isn't wayyyyyyyy really on the engine!

p.s. sry if i'm missing something, i'm not gonna lie i was too lazy to read the whole thread.

woa, thats lookin nasty! what happened to the rear end, tho??

i have a suggestion for the gas tank. use the old one and cut out a little to fit a weedeater gas tank, and the only thing you will need to do is bore out the holes to fit 4 stroke lines, or get an adapter of some sort. wont have a lot of fuel capacity, but it looks more natural.

oh also i noticed..... NO BRAKES!!!!!!!! hahahahaha deff necessary...

for a twist throttle just take one off a mountain bike, i took mine off a trek mt 80 and you just need to pry it open to take the clicky thing out.

yeah, as for the pulley on the engine, it's gotta be like that for enough clearance, I'll move the bolt on the idler, and I gotta get an spring for it at ace tomorrow. I'll hook up the brakes but I gotta get some new cable lol.

probably not, I don't really care for the look of them, and I do kinda like the rat-rod look of this thing

yea, since this thing is my only bike, i decided to make it look as close to a real pit bike as can be. the angle iron brackets were a joke, still need a welding machine before i can make steel mounts, in the same place as them. looks pretty sweet with a different paint job. i got alot of stickers for it too like monster and quicksilver and kawasaki etc.

it got so messed up though. since it was so clean and shiny my greasy hands screwed it. oh well, maybe i just need to clear coat it alot or something.

i must ask did you weld the ratchet drive solid?

Nope, don't have a welder. Just realized today that means no push start lol. I've gotten it going by running at the right speed, pulling the cord and hopping on. I can also put the rear wheel up on the curb or something start it, then push and run. :roflol:

lol, well i got bad news. those ratchets are super cheap, and mine broke so easily. my local bike shop guy took it apart and showed me how tiny the little metal prongs are, it does NOT use the mecanism where ball bearings fall into place, like on the pull start. with that huge motor you wont go too far, that sucks! maybe you can somehow tie ropes on it and the spokes?? idk

Ughh, i cant move them over because the one on the jackshaft is already like against the bearing. Ideas?

yes, it's on the keystock with a set screw in, it not just hanging there lol

I can shift the engine over a bit and fix this stupid pulley situation but I'm going to need some metal and ace is super expensive, where can I get some scrap metal? There's no junkyards or anything around here
