I don't think this is my actual kart. Mine would of been 79-80 this one is a 83.

Thanks. Love the intact dealer tag (Kody Karts and not some mundane hardware store) and the engine labels. Good to see the 1983 engine date and what they looked like then as far as labeling goes (even in 1983 they used a metric displacement instead of just the horsepower). The engine date more or less firmly establishes the year the kart was born or possibly within a few months, accounting for overlap, delays, supply chain issues (ebb and flow).

The pedals, are those a manufacturer variation? They look a bit awkward as if they should point inwards. In other words foot goes on the pedal not the pedal arm. All you need now is a reproduction seat.

Yes sir, I was very pleased with it's condition! The pedals are factory correct, not sure why they put them like that, but they work! Im currently working on the seat situation. I will keep the thread updated.

I found a King Cobra for sale. It looks to be in better shape then the ones in previous photos. Any thought on value range. It was repainted silver, but the Black Cobra sticker is still visible and seat looks good in photos I've seen.

Boggles the mind how someone can ask about value and not show and tell. I get a chuckle out of these kinds of posts.

I was just wondering opinions about if this is a few hundred dollar brand or $1,000s of dollars brand. Just a yard kart or collector? Previous post about sentimentality not collecting. Just trying to keep it simple, but kept it too simple. Seller is asking $500. Thanks for

These Karts are extremely hard to find, obviously it would be much more desirable if it hadn't been painted though. With that being said, due to the fact they are all but extinct, and I have only been able to find them in the hands of collectors, I would say it is definitely worth what they are asking and probably more to the right person. Now are you just looking to flip it? or are you actually looking for a well built kart to ride and enjoy?

Thanks for the pics. I’ll say the tired, simplistic cliché that ”it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay”, and that might be a little more for someone like MPeed because he’s all about the nostalgia and he had one as a youth. It’s like some Holy Grail.

This particular K-C brand is obscure and is working against the value, but at least it’s rare as JimD said. It’s not a Rupp kart unfortunately so you’d be hard pressed to find a buyer willing to shell out 1,000 clams. Has there any been sold on BringaTrailer?

However, if I bought it, I would be the caretaker of it (for the next guy) and might “restore” it as much as it is feasible. Be neat to have those decals reproduced. There’s one, albeit small, on page 3 of that brochure plus MPeed to give you dimensions of the one on the Nassau panel…… . . . . .
